So you want to know how to unlock your hidden power?
Ok, so the first and most important thing to say is that everyone has something special to offer. Every single person has a hidden power.
However too often, our experiences, our family dynamics, and our external environment in general, in one way or another, has a negative impact on that hidden power. Something or someone has caused you to consciously or subconsciously dim this power down.
The aim of this post is to help you realize that your hidden power is still very much within you and show you how to unlock your hidden power and use it for ultimate success.
But first, let’s get very clear on what we mean by hidden power…
Your hidden power is in the most basic term that very thing that makes you – YOU!
It is something that makes you shine. That thing you are known for by your inner circle and what you are remembered for by your outer circle.
It could be a character trait, the way you think, how you present yourself, your style, your knowledge, your skill…anything but it is something you are good at, that comes naturally to you, and something that in the past has attracted success.
If you are hooked and want to find out how to tap into this, then let’s dive in…

How to unlock your hidden power for ultimate success?
Be confident in who you are.
Confidence is a key element that will allow you to tap into that hidden power.
Why?
Well, a lot of people feel extremely uncomfortable admitting to themselves their virtues. What we sometimes call modesty, a lot of the time is just hidden low self-confidence and low self-worth.
When you begin to find that inner confidence within you, you will find that embracing your positives and all your virtues, will come naturally.
It will not be fuelled with arrogance, but instead by a certain ease and acceptance in who you are.
Find self-love.
We cannot have it all and to set the balance right, as well as the many virtues, there will be aspects of you and your character that are flawed.
But in order to truly tap into your best self and your hidden power, you have to ensure that these flaws do not distract you from all your greatness.
One of the most effective ways to achieve this is by finding ways to love these flaws. It does not mean, that you cannot work on them and continually self-improve and grow.
Instead, it is about accepting that you are human, and these flaws are what make your unique as much as the good traits. Without them, you would not have been shaped into the person you are.
That is true self-acceptance and self-love that will help you thrive and help you fully cultivate your unique power.
Embrace your strengths.
You have your strengths – use them.
Don’t be afraid to take absolute full advantage of all your strengths. Fully capitalize on them and use them to the max because this will help you to counteract any one of your weaknesses.
To help you identify your true strengths try this:
Take a step back and think of all the moments in your life when you felt powerful, successful, proud of yourself, influential, and like an absolutely unstoppable BossBabe. Make a note specifically about what it was that made it so… These are some of your strengths, that you have utilized in the past. Now it is time to be consciously aware of them and put them into practice every day in every situation.
Ask those you trust what your hidden power is.
Now I am a big advocate for internal confidence rather than external confidence, so I never advise attaching any feelings of self-worth to what people say. You don’t want to become reliant on others’ view of you as a source of your worth.
Nonetheless, the people in your life know you well and can be amazing at helping you recognize what it is about you that is so special and makes you unique. Make sure it is people who do have your best interest at heart, that you fully trust, and you know they will be honest with you.
Once you discuss it, and you agree, try to apply more of it to your life.
Be open to your hidden power.
As mentioned before every single person has something that makes them unique and special in their own way.
If you truly want to unlock this within you, you do have to believe that there is something special within you. You have to feel worthy of it.
Be open to the idea of finding your strengths and you might surprise yourself with how quickly you can begin to utilize this power in your everyday life and in your business.
Cultivate a positive mindset.
Negative thinking patterns will ultimately serve as a distraction, and they will keep you small. Although I do not believe that toxic positivity is healthy, I do believe that every cloud has a silver lining.
Yes, sometimes you have to allow yourself to feel what you need to feel, whether anger, frustration, or sadness, allowing yourself to process these emotions will help you move on quicker to re-establish that positive mindset. However, you do not want to make negative thinking patterns a daily habit.
Avoid the victim mode and start to bring your focus on the positives of a situation or your life to counterbalance all the negatives that do occur.
Calm your mind.
Mindfulness is a repeating theme in the blog posts but it’s so because it works.
In today’s world, our brains are constantly bombarded with information. We rarely have a moment to just switch off, and not have to be plotting the next steps, considering others, project managing at work, in business, and in life.
It becomes such a norm that we don’t even realize that our poor brains are working overtime.
When we say that “we need peace of mind” what we truly mean is that “we need peace FROM mind.
That’s where mindfulness comes in. It allows you to stop and give your brain a moment to breathe and switch off from the hustle.
At these moments, when you are not overwhelming your mind, you will be able to tap into your best self.
Practice gratitude to reach unshakable happiness.
Operating from a place of scarcity rather than abundance, send your brain into a bit of a panic mode. That’s counterproductive. You are more likely to act impulsively and make bad decisions. You also won’t be putting your best foot forward in any situation as your stress response is overdrive.
Gratitude is that small practice that can help to ease your anxieties before they spiral.
Writing down the positive things in your life and the things you are grateful for will help you shift perspective quickly and feel happier and more at ease with how things are.
This will free up invaluable space in your mind to focus on your unique power.
Make aligned decisions.
What this means is making sure that everything you do in life is in a match where you are heading. That any decision you make, from your professional life to your personal life will get you closer to your goal or purpose, and never push you away from it.
You will only ever be able to utilize your hidden power to the fullest if your purpose and goals and passions align. Utilizing your hidden power will become a simple by-product because you will feel so fired up about going after what you truly want.
Have a strong vision for your life.
But in order to make those aligned decisions you have to understand and be crystal clear on where you are heading. You need a vision for your life!
When you set that vision for yourself you begin to formulate a strategy and plan of what it will take to get there and how you can achieve it. You can begin to notice how your strengths and powers can help you execute this plan and help you get to where you are meant to be.
Be mindful of outside influence.
Unless you are self-aware and have the wisdom to understand how other people and the outside environment can influence you, you will forever fall victim to that influence.
Sometimes that external influence can be good, for example when you meet people who inspire you or empower you to do something.
But there are also people and situations and environments that won’t allow you to thrive and will hold you back.
This is why awareness is so important. It is as simple as being mindful and stopping to question if this is the right kind of influence for you. Will it serve you?
Filter out, naysayers.
It really is true that anything negative that comes out of another person’s mouth most often reflects their wounds. This is why you should never take the negative comment to heart, unless they are constructive and come from a place of love, with the intention to help you grow.
Filter them out! You will instinctively know the true intention behind someone else’s comment and feedback. If it does not come from a good place and is not delivered with kindness – don’t take it on board. You’ve likely struck a nerve in the other person, but it is their responsibility to deal with these emotions.
If you do not establish that filter and take on board every single criticism that comes your way, you will eventually crumble, and with that your true power and everything amazing that you have to offer.
Do not fear change.
Do not fear change – that is both a change inside of you and also a change to your external environment.
Being open to the idea of change will allow you to best cultivate your power long-term. Along the journey, you will undoubtedly grow and learn new things. What worked for one part of the journey may not be the best fit to get you through the next stages.
In those circumstances change is necessary and if you do not adapt, you will struggle to keep moving forward.
This goes for the external environment too. Whether people or certain places or situations, you might find that you have outgrown them. Do not be afraid to let go of them if that is the right thing to do. Don’t allow pure sentiment to hold you stuck to people and places that are not serving you. Because they will dim that power of yours.
Define what YOU need to thrive.
